The Return of the Prodigal Son
Kingdom of Heaven

Raising of Lazarus.

Icons are representation of a sacred person. Usually a painting on a piece of wood or plaster, it was a concept that was started in Eastern Orthodox. The persons depicted can range from Christ, Madonna and Child, or another important saint. Icons were used in the church to explain Biblical stories or inspire members of the church to think about God throughout their daily lives. Zion Lutheran Church has many examples of Icons.
